I'm getting allot of SEO questions lately, so I'm posting a simple list of FAQs to help people get started. I'm sure that I will continue adding to this post. Please feel free to weigh in or to ask for more detail in a particular area.

How do I edit META Tags on my PAS rakeback site?

How can I set default META tags?
Creating META tags for Site Template will initiate default tags for your site. These tags will be used on any pages that do not have page specific custom meta settings.

What pages should I edit meta tags for?

I recommend starting with the following:

- layout > layout.html(Homepage)
- faq.html(FAQs)
- promotions > promotions.html(Promotions)
- rakeback > poker room offer(All the pages for offers that are active)
- Any Custom Pages that you have created

What pages should I NOT edit meta tags for?

- Any pages that require the user to be logged in.
- Any Promotions pages(if you want them to automatically update)

What META tags should I edit?
I suggest editing the Title, Keywords and Description for each page you choose to edit.

What should my META tags be?
- Avoid words that are heavily saturated. You are not likely to get a great search results by focusing on extremely popular terms such as Rakeback, Rakeback Deals, Full Tilt Poker etc.
- Focus on keywords that make your site unique, or at least unusual. This could include features, target demographics, or under-utilized search terms.
- Keep consistency between all your meta tags AND your page content. If your custom page is offering free coaching to players who speak Spanish and play small stakes no limit poker, Spanish, free coaching, small stakes no limit poker, etc should appear in the title, keywords, description and in the page content.

Can I use any {{ tokens }} to automatically generate values for meta tags?

Why aren't search results for my pages improving?
There are a number of possibilities
- You may be using terms that are over saturated, Don't expect your site to be listed in the top 10, 20 or even 100 search results for "poker".
- You may be defining your site to broadly. Focus on what you do well, you may not be able to get someone searching for poker rakeback, but you might get those looking for "starting hand charts for small stakes omaha 8 or better players."
- You may lack original and useful content that corresponds to your meta tags. Once you decide on a narrow demographic that you want to target, make sure you have a great deal of content that they will find particularly useful.

Where Should I add Original Content

- Existing pages that have allot of default information, such as the Glance Pages for offers you have activated.
- Create Custom Pages: Creating a New Page - PAS Documentation This is the best way to add new content, Your Page Names should use the same practices that you use to make good meta tags. Adding new content to new pages is also the best way to improve your search results!

I did everything listed, but my results are still disappointing, what next?
- The biggest mistake is to not do your homework. The internet is filled with advice on improving SEO. Search for guides and tips, learn to separate good advice from poor advice, and be prepared for some trial and error. Remember everyone wants more visitors to their site, you need to be prepared to work harder and smarter than the competition if you expect to be listed higher than they are!
