Default How do I 301 re direct a PAS page?

As the title says I am trying to re direct a certain page on my site using PAS CMS.

But I'm not exactly sure how.

    Any ideas?

I'll have to defer to the Tech Dept on this one.

Fwiw if you want to change the URL of an offer page, you could use the Page Routing feature.

No I just see that some pages have been 301'd (not by me) and there are a couple that I would like to do the same with rather than just delete.

    Brokerstar,

Currently there is no way to 301 a given page 'arbitrarily' - the only custom 301s that can currently be setup are those setup using the Offer Routing feature as Mark suggested. Adding some kind of 301 redirect feature is something that's been brought up a few times in the past though, but as of right now it isn't on our 'radar' to be implemented in the near future...

To be honest, this sucks. There are so many cases where a simple 301 would be useful. I can't even create an URL without '.html' ....

Although you can't create URLs directly without a ".html" extension / ending, one alternative is to create a new directory & then place a "index.html" file in that directory. For example, if you created a page located at "poker-room-reviews/index.html" you could then access that page by visiting "YOURWEBSITE.com/poker-room-reviews/" as our CMS system emulates the Apache web server's behavior of serving 'index.html' pages as the default page for a given directory.

As for 301 redirects - it's definitely something we want to get added I'm just not sure that we currently have a timeline for it right now... I'll go ahead & pass on your comments, though, as we definitely understand the need / value for something like this...

    Thanks,

Thanks for the hint with the directory Arthur. Unconventional but works.

    nikrossi,

Glad to hear you found the new 301 redirect feature, hopefully you're finding it easy to use & useful! It was a long time coming but we're definitely really happy that we were able to get it in. Let us know how you like it & if you have any feedback, we're always looking for input especially on these types of more 'power user' directed features.

Is there any write of how to use this 301 feature?

For example if I have an old page of content but had a rubbish URL and so wanted to redirect the old page to a better worded URL, how do I do it in the PAS back end?

    Kind regards
