    Default using same template

hi - i am creating several sites and using the same basic template. For example one site offers toyota accessories and the other offers nissan accessories and so on.

they each have their own db's and unique content. but my concern is in the actual php code. we are basically using the same 'template' from site to site.
Do you foresee any problems with this?

    Hi there,

If you are looking for SEO help for cars/auto mobile websites then you are in the wrong place, this is a poker affiliate forum

Anyway answer to your question is no, there's literally hundreds if not thousands of sites that use the same templates and they have no problems.

If you are concerned then change the templates slightly like module positions, heights, wifths and so on.

My opinion is that you will be fine as long as you can SEO properly

    =)

In my experience, out-of-the-box sites with common templates tend to get ranked very poorly right off the bat. The prime example of this is Wordpress with the twenty-ten layout. This could very easily be because of other factors, however, but it's persistent across Wordpress/Blogspot/Yolasite/Webs/similar default installations. A new template costs $20 for Wordpress, and if you're serious about making money $20 shouldn't be a large obstacle. If you chop up the PSD yourself, you can get templates for $10-$15.

SEOs have speculated on the importance of the HTML footprint vs textual content, but no one seems to think it matters all that much.

Apart from that, it's just plain dull to be using the same template. You're going to get bored and so are your visitors. Especially if you're going to be inter-linking between the two.
