Question about age limit

I previously had validated my signup form to only accept people over the age of 18. Now that I have successfully integrated my forum to my main website I have removed these restriction. Am I OK to do this? Will there be any issues with under 18s cashing out their money? Obviously, they are too young to legally play poker. However, I don't want any age restrictions on people using my forum, or earning referrals via promoting my site.

I'm not 100% clear what you are asking but poker rooms are very strict about minimum age requirements. I would strongly suggest you focus on promoting to players and seek out referrals to those who are at least 18.

I am not promoting to players under 18 nor am I planning to. I just wanted to know whether there would be an issue in allowing under 18s to register on my forum. I don't want any age restrictions on my forum, but anyone who signs up to my forum is automatically given an account on PAS because I have integrated them both. Even though under 18s can't play poker, they can still earn money in their PAS account by earning referrals. I am happy for them to do so. I would just like to know if PAS is OK with that.

This is not something that PAS condones. Members under the age of 18 are not allowed on PAS sites so we are going to prevent this as much as possible. This includes individuals receiving referral income derived from internet gambling. With this policy in place, we strongly recommend that you only allow users above the age of 18 in your forum. I understand that this is not the answer you wanted to hear, but this will prevent potential problems down the road.

Thanks for this information. What I have decided to do is write some php to prevent under 18s from using the signup forms, and from getting the referral code to promote my site. So basically, they will have a limited account where all they can do is post on the forum and view information that requires no login. Then, when they turn 18, their account will automatically be upgraded to a full account. Of course they can get past this by lying about their age, but they can do that anyway so I have no way to stop that.
