The PAS Exclusive Promotions for the month of May have now been posted in the forum. Check out a full list of the $300,000 plus in exclusive promotions here. Often when there are new promotions introduced, there can be some confusion so I wanted to explain some of the newer promotions in a bit more depth. Party Poker Tournament Fever Series: The Party Poker Tournament Fever Series is back for a third round. The first event will be held on May 8th, and like the previous Fever Series events, will be a mix of No Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha, Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo and Stud. What's different this month is that two of the events will award WSOP entries to the top 4 finishers. Event #6 (May 15th) and Event #9 (May 20th) will award 1 $750 WSOP Satellite entry and 3 $80 WSOP Satellite Qualifiers. All events will either be $500 freerolls or will add $500-$1,000 to the prize pool. A $8,000 Tournament Fever Series Leaderboard will award top Leaderboard Point earners over the 13 events. A full schedule will be posted shortly on PAS. Party Poker Tournament Fever Series Event #13 Event #13 is a new twist on the Tournament Fever Series and something you should begin promoting to your Party Poker players. The tournament is a $4,000 freeroll only open to the top 100 Party Point earners from May 1st to May 22nd. Of course, this presents an advantage for any player in the Tournament Fever Series leaderboard, so make sure your higher volume players are aware of this promotion. Party Poker $10 Free Tournament Ticket The first 200 first time depositors will receive $10 in tournament dollars to be used on any multi-table tournament on Party Poker. The buy-in Tournament Fever series events present a great opportunity for players to use these tickets. Supplies are limited so make sure your players are aware of this ticket opportunity to encourage deposits. At the beginning of each month, we post the top standard promotions for the month in the Poker Marketing Forum. Often times as the month moves along new promotions are announced by poker rooms. The promotions below are some of the best that you should be informing your players about for the rest of January. Party Poker Rake Free Tournaments: For the remainder of January, Party Poker is slashing buy-in fees on all multi-table tournaments. To celebrate this offer, Party Poker is offering a 100% up to $100 reload bonus and a $50,000 Depositor Freeroll entry to all players that use bonus code RAKEFREE. Minted Poker $1 Rake Caps Minted Poker has continued $1 Rake Caps on all USD tables through the month of January. Euro tables are not eligible for this promotion. Minted Poker will also be holding a large 10,000 guaranteed tournament on January 29th. Red Kings $85,000 Points Race Ongame's Red Kings is offers a huge $85,000 Points Race each month, and players only need to play for three days in a row to qualify for a prize. A player simply needs to finish in the top 120 chart for three consecutive days to receive a prize based on their performance during those days. The next three-day cycle starts with the accumulation of more Player Points. Betsafe Second $60,000 Race It's not too late for players to start accumulating Race Points towards Betsafe's second $60,000 January Race, which started January 17th. The leaderboard will pay cash prizes of up to $7,500 to the top 100 Race Point earners. In addition to the cash prizes, the Top 15 finishers from Race 1 and 2 will receive an entry into a $6,000 January Race freeroll in early February. Red Star $27,000 Rake Race The $27,000 Rake Race (really more like a Rake Chase) is one of the best offered by a Cake Poker Network site. Players that generate rake at 1 of 14 levels are paid predetermined cash prizes of $3 to $2,000. Many of the smaller cash prizes have been claimed, but there are plenty of opportunities remaining for players that generate at least $350 in rake for the rest of the month. These cash rewards effectively pay more than 10% extra rakeback to players. Intertops FPP Race Intertops, a popular Cake Network poker room, offers $6,250 FPP Races each week exclusively to their players. The weekly leaderboards pay the top 100 FPP earners during each promo period. Race 4 gets underway on January 22nd at 04:00 GMT and runs through January 29th at 04:00 GMT. Poker Heaven 20,000 Cash Race This race started on January 16th, but players have until January 29th to accumulate points towards this large race. The leaderboard will pay cash prizes to the tpo 50 point earners during the promotion period. This promotion is offered network wide but Poker Heaven seems to be offering the largest prizes. Players must opt-in via the Player Zone. True Poker $65,000 Points Race, $75k Gtd. Tournament The $65,000 Points Race has become a monthly staple and players joining the race today still have a chance to get on the leaderboard. Congratulations to the winners of the largest Bad Beat Jackpot in the history of online poker, which hit the record breaking prize at 8:59 GMT this morning while the jackpot sat at 1,265,583.34 ($1,834,426), a progressive prize that was months in the making. OmgoMgomGo, a PokerHeaven player, lost the hand with Quad Kings and took home a shade over 442,000. The winner of the hand, 7Adelaida7, held Quad Aces and netted 221,477. The seven other players dealt cards wont go home disappointed either, as they each scored a 31,639 prize. OmgoMgomGo held held pocket Kings while 7Adelaida7 held pocket Aces. The Bad Beat Jackpot hand flopped the As 9H Kc giving each player a set. The turn card then came the Ks and the river the Ac to give each player Quads, which met the minimum requirement of Quad Tens. With 20% of the total jackpot being held over to reseed the next jackpot, the jackpot now sits just over 250,000. If the player that lost the hand was signed up by an affiliate, the affiliate could also win a prize of 10,000, assuming they advertised the Bad Beat Jackpot as outlined by the Boss Media Bad Beat Jackpot affiliate promotion. If an affiliate referred the winning player of the hand, they would win 5,000. Referring one of the seven to receive a table share prize would net the affiliate 500. Affiliates will be notified shortly if one of their players was lucky enough to take home part of this record breaking prize. The Boss Media Bad Beat Jackpot should grow quickly and be a positive value for players again shortly. Do not forget to pay attention to this and all bad beat jackpots to find the best value for your players. Stay tuned to PokerAffiliateSolutions for updates on Bad Beat Jackpots across the industry as well as other promotion news.
The Boss Network Bad Beat Jackpot promotion has eclipsed the 1 million mark ($1.43 million) and is now into record territory. The prospect of winning a huge prize is bringing many players to the Bad Beat Jackpot tables on the Boss Network. Affiliates should be aggressively marketing this jackpot until it is hit, not only because of the record prize but also because the current jackpot levels easily reach the positive expected value mark which is generally in the 300k-500k range. This simply means that the Bad Beat Jackpot prize amount is past a point at which the extra 0.50 jackpot drops are not worth the prize that players can earn -- from a value perspective --when considering the odds of hitting the jackpot and other factors. Affiliate Incentives PAS partner rooms Fortune Poker, Poker Heaven and Interpoker are giving affiliates even more reason to heavily promote the offer. If one of your players wins, loses or is even dealt cards on the same table where the Jackpot is hit, as an affiliate you will receive the following prizes: Winner of the Jackpot: 10,000 affiliate reward Loser of the Jackpot: 5,000 affiliate reward Dealt cards: 500 affiliate reward To be eligible for the prize, you will need to complete ALL of the following requirements: --Have a Bad Beat Jackpot story on the home page --Have a BBJ widget on the front page or a leading sub-section. Widget is here: . --We have also created a banner that affiliates can use as they wish. --Send out a mailer to your playerbase When the Bad Beat Jackpot is hit, the site will notify the winning players and any affiliate who has won a bonus prize. Terms of the Bad Beat Jackpot Prize: Hitting a Bad Beat Jackpot is not easy and is one reason why the prize pool is so high right now. In order for a player to qualify for a Bad Beat Jackpot, the player must first be seated at a designated Bad Beat Jackpot table, which is available at 1/2-10/20 for Fixed Limit Hold'em and 0.50/1.00-5/10 at No Limit Hold'em. In order for the Bad Beat Jackpot to be hit, a player must lose with Quad Tens or higher. Once the Quad Tens are beat, 70% of the jackpot will be awarded with 50% of that amount going to the loser, 25% to the winner and 25% split between the other players dealt cards in the hand. The remaining 30% will be split between reseeding the next jackpot (20%) and an admin fee (10%). Other terms of the Bad Beat Jackpot include: --Four players must be dealt into the hand to qualify --A Jackpot contribution of 0.50 will be taken out for each raked hand. --The Hand must go to a showdown --Both players must use both hole cards --Players may not discuss their hand while playing Promote the offer for any of the following sites:
As I was doing my standard poker promotion update on Friday which I post each month in the PAS forum -- I was really surprised at the extent at which European sites are stepping up to the plate again with special promotions, just as they did in the aftermath of Black Friday. Only this time poker sites are trying to scoop up European players displaced by the Full Tilt Poker situation. On Monday, Party Poker joined the parade by announcing that they would be waiving all tournament buy-in fees. These sites are clearly trying VERY hard to accumulate players while Full Tilt Poker is down. According to PokerScout, poker sites are already reaping the benefits of the shutdown. Cake Poker is up 41%, PKR up 32% (in large part due to a lite client release) and Party Poker is up over 23%. Other PAS sites/networks of interest include: Boss (20%) iPoker (13%), Microgaming (7%) and Entraction (7%). Keep in mind that this during a time of year when traffic is historically down. Hopefully, youve already begun marketing to these players looking for a new home. I dont think Ill ever say that bonuses and promotion are as good for players as they were 5-6 years ago, but there really seems to be a similar calculated effort to aggressively attract players -- a mini online poker player Gold Rush, if you will. In todays follow-up to my informational post on Thursday -- where I went over the top alternatives to Full Tilt Poker I go over the top promotions being offered by European facing poker rooms, many of them specifically targeted to European Full Tilt Poker players. __________________________________________________ ________________________________ Party Gaming Rake-Free Tournaments: For a limited time, Party Poker players will not be charged ANY buy-in fees, effectively yielding players 100% rakeback at multi-table tournaments.
