As some of you may know, each month I go through each of our partner rooms and post the most significant non-exclusive promotions of the month. Today, I thought I would share my subjective analysis of the most interesting promotions on the list -- my Top 7 -- running during February. 1) WPT/Party Poker Card Rush During February, Party Poker and WPT Poker bring back the popular Card Rush. For each 15 Party Points a player earns they will receive a game piece that will reveal a guaranteed prize of a minimum of 10 Party Points up to a grand prize of $5,000. Card Rush Race points will also be earned towards a leaderboard that will pay additional cash prizes of $50 to $9,000 to the top 200 players. Party Poker will also scatter $50 spots to players finishing 220 through 2,000. Party Poker will be awarding up to 1.8 million cards during the length of this promotion. Undoubtedly, many of these cards will be Party Points and freeroll entries but it's still a great extra perks that grinders should appreciate. 2) Carbon Poker/Aced/Black Chip Poker $25,000 Bankroll Booster Freerolls Carbon Poker, Aced and Black Chip Poker will be running numerous daily qualifiers to the $25,000 Bankroll Booster Freeroll to be held on February 26th at 2 PM ET. There is no direct way to get into the tournament so players must enter either three-times-daily Freeroll Qualifiers (at 13:30, 17:30 or 21:30) or via VIP Points Earned Qualifiers. The VIP Points Qualifiers are run nine times daily. To qualify for these tournaments, players must earn a designated number of VIP Points the previous day and/or the current day up to the time of the tournament. I'm estimating an overlay of about $10 per player in the final. 3) Minted Poker $1 Max Rake Minted Poker and other sites on the Everleaf Network have extended $1 Max rake caps on all tables through February. These tables should be attracting more players than they are due to the fact they are not subject to the large 5 euro max rake and the winning limits that players must undergo at the euro tables. This would be the top promotion in online poker if there was more traffic on these tables. 4) Betsafe $100,000 Points Races Betsafe offers their lucrative Points Race every month so this promotion isn't any more special than previous months. I like this promotion not only for the total size of the prize pool -- which is divided into two promo periods each month -- but the overall value to players. Betsafe also sweetens the pot by providing a $6,000 freeroll to all players that finish in the top 100 of Race 1 or 2. 5) True Poker/Americas Cardroom You really wouldn't think that a small network such as Winning Poker would be able to offer such large promotions, but during February they have actually increased their monthly race promotions to $100,000. $60,000 of the prize pool is awarded to the top FPP Point earners during the month and another $40,000 will be given away during weekend "Sprints," $10k each weekend. Note that the Sprints are only available to ring game players while the $60k "Marathon" is offered to both ring game and tournament players and actually awards bonus points for participation in top tournaments. 6) Boss Magic Hands For one day only on February 14th, the Boss Network (Poker Heaven, Fortune Poker, Interpoker) are awarding cash prizes to players that hit various Valentine's Day themed hands. I've always loved these types of promotions, especially ones that are relatively easy to hit like this one. Players receive €25 for a Heart Flush, €25 when losing 3 hands with K and Q of hearts and €250 when winning a hand with Straight Flush of Hearts. Players must submit a Magic Hand to claim via the Player Zone within 72 hours of hitting the hand. Note that both hole cards must be used and other rules apply. 7) Mansion Poker On Target! I'm also a big fan of promotions that guarantee a prize when a certain amount of play is achieved and that is exactly what Mansion is offering during February with their "On Target" promotion. Each week during the month, players can enter On Target via a no-play tournament from the lobby. Players that hit a raked hand target during the week will receive a cash reward and a $50 pending bonus. Prizes start at $5 and a $50 bonus for reaching 200 raked hands. Not bad, especially for grinders and when combining the promotion on top of the other many Mansion promotions. There you have it- my personal favorite standard online poker promotions for the month of February. We wanted publishers to be aware of a few changes over the last couple days pertaining to CPAs on the PAS network. The changes below only affect iPoker rooms Chili Poker, Titan Poker and William Hill. Chili Poker: The CPA requirement is changing from 250 FPPs to 450 FPPs. Players earn 450 FPPs when generating approximately $30 in MGR. PAS publishers will continue to receive $125 for each player they refer. Titan Poker: The Titan Poker CPA deal has been removed until further notice. William Hill: The William Hill CPA MGR requirement per referred player will be increasing from $20 to $35. In addition, all Eastern European countries will be banned from eligibility: Albania, Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine If you currently promote Titan Poker or William Hill to these players, PAS recommends promoting at one of the many other rooms that offering CPA. On the iPoker Network, you have the choice of Betfred and Chili Poker. CPAs are also available on other European networks such as Party Gaming (Party Poker) and Ongame (Betfair, Hollywood Poker, Redkings). As I was doing my standard poker promotion update on Friday – which I post each month in the PAS forum -- I was really surprised at the extent at which European sites are stepping up to the plate again with special promotions, just as they did in the aftermath of Black Friday. Only this time poker sites are trying to scoop up European players displaced by the Full Tilt Poker situation. On Monday, Party Poker joined the parade by announcing that they would be waiving all tournament buy-in fees. These sites are clearly trying VERY hard to accumulate players while Full Tilt Poker is down. According to PokerScout, poker sites are already reaping the benefits of the shutdown. Cake Poker is up 41%, PKR up 32% (in large part due to a “lite” client release) and Party Poker is up over 23%. Other PAS sites/networks of interest include: Boss (20%) iPoker (13%), Microgaming (7%) and Entraction (7%). Keep in mind that this during a time of year when traffic is historically down. Hopefully, you’ve already begun marketing to these players looking for a new home. I don’t think I’ll ever say that bonuses and promotion are as good for players as they were 5-6 years ago, but there really seems to be a similar calculated effort to aggressively attract players -- a mini online poker player Gold Rush, if you will. In today’s follow-up to my informational post on Thursday -- where I went over the top alternatives to Full Tilt Poker – I go over the top promotions being offered by European facing poker rooms, many of them specifically targeted to European Full Tilt Poker players. __________________________________________________ ________________________________ Party Gaming Rake-Free Tournaments: For a limited time, Party Poker players will not be charged ANY buy-in fees, effectively yielding players 100% rakeback at multi-table tournaments. Hopefully we don’t see players complain about not being able to accumulating Party Points. Reload: 100% up to $200 on a player’s next deposit when using bonus code 200JULY until August 7th. Players must earn 6 Party Points per $1 of bonus money, the equivalent of 33% rakeback. $100,000 Freeroll: Players depositing for the 200JULY reload bonus will also receive access to a $100,000 freeroll on August 7th. VIP Upgrades: Any player that was a VIP player on Full Tilt Poker can email proof to Party Poker. Then earn 1,000 Party Points within 15 days ($500 rake) and be automatically upgraded to the second highest VIP status on Party Poker. After Black Friday, iPoker rules were thrown out the window and players and affiliates started to see skins offer $1,000 bonuses. After the Full Tilt license suspension, Titan Poker, Mansion Poker and BetFred began offering $2,000 sign-up bonuses (200% matches, with Betfred offering a 100% match). Genting Poker is offering a 400% up to $1,000 match. Mega Reload: The iPoker Network isn’t forgetting about the existing players either, offering these players a 100% up to $5,000 Mega Reload Bonus. Each site has slightly different Mega Reload terms, but most of these bonuses will be running until July 14th (Mansion and Titan will run until July 17th). The Mega Reload bonus releases in two stages. The first stage is 25% of the deposit amount up to $1250 and the Stage 2 bonus is 75% of the deposit share up to $3,750.
