PAS would like to inform all Party Poker publishers that effective immediately, the Party Poker CPA has been removed from the network. For now, we recommend you request a revenue-share campaign if you currently do not have one. Despite the removal of Party Poker CPA, there are still many reasons to promote the brand including $4,000 in exclusive freerolls and the special $18,000 Tournament Fever Series starting March 11th. PAS publishers can request a Revenue-Share deal by navigating to the Publisher Admin via the "Rev Share Offers" tab. Requests are usually processed within 72 hours. We also offer several alternative CPA deals and three dozen revenue-share deals. If have any questions, please direct them to Seb, PAS Brand Manager.
There is yet another online poker takeover to announce in the U.S. gaming market. Shuffle Master, a company that holds patents to many casino games and shuffle machines, announced that they have entered into an agreement to purchase the Ongame Network from BWIN.Party. BWIN.Party has already announced their intention to enter the U.S. online poker market through their partnership with Boyd Gaming and MGM Resorts. BWIN.Party had already announced that the Ongame Network was a "surplus asset". The network had been on the market since at least mid 2011. The deal sets a price of €19,500,000 up front, with the potential of another €10,000,000 depending on the pace of regulation in the U.S. within five years of closing the deal. BWIN.Party will move their BWIN players from the Ongame Network before the close of the sale. Ongame skins, including PAS partners Coral Poker, Hollywood Poker, Betfair, EuroPoker, Betsafe and RedKings, are expected to remain on the network after the sale. Shuffle Master has already applied for a Nevada Interactive Gaming license. The Ongame Network software would need to be approved for it to be used within the state. The sale of the network could take as long as nine months.
Betsafe Affiliates, the affiliate home of Betsafe, today permanently closed and moved all players to Affiliate Lounge, an affiliate program that also houses parent company Betsson. Last May, Betsson acquired Betsafe to strengthen their position in the Nordic region as well fuel growth for both companies. Since the merger, the Ongame skins have worked to bring together their affiliate programs. Affiliates and publishers of PAS will notice a notable change with today's migration. Under Affiliate Lounge, Betsafe stats are currently not being displayed daily like they were under Betsafe Affiliates. PAS is currently working on a solution with Betsafe to ensure that stats are displayed on a daily basis but we can not currently provide a time frame on when a fix will be implemented. PAS has updated all affiliate links for our publishers per the Betsafe Affiliates FAQ so there is nothing that needs to be done as a PAS publisher. It should be noted that commission rates are unaffected. The seizing of Bodog.com and the subsequent indictment of founder Calvin Ayre were the biggest news story of the week. Also making headlines was a surprise announcement of the closure of Chilipoker.com and more indications Zynga is moving towards real money gambling. Check out these stories and more in this week's Weekly Industry Update. Bodog.com Seized, Calvin Ayre Indicted: After a lengthy investigation, the non-operational Bodog.com domain name was seized. A day later, founder Calvin Ayre was indicted on charges of operating an illegal sports betting operation and conspiracy to commit money laundering. Ayre released a statement shorty after the news became public. "It is clear that the online gaming industry is legal under international law and in the case of these documents is it also clear that the rule of law was not allowed to slow down a rush to try to win the war of public opinion." Online poker was not named in the indictment and operations of Bodog and the US-facing Bovada appear to be unaffected at this time. Full Tilt Poker Update: Despite reports reports that the Full Tilt Poker/GBT deal was on the rocks, a GBT lawyer Behn Dayanim has stated in a new interview that "The Tapie Group is committed to make this deal work." Dayanim went on to say that just because people are not aware of what his happening does not mean that nothing is happening. He also theorizes that if this deal doesn't get done, nothing will as no other option is on the table. Chilipoker.com Closes, Focusing on U.S.: Chilipoker made a surprise announcement this week that Chilipoker.com players would be merged to another iPoker site, Poker770. The move comes after recent partnering with Golden Nugget and Bally Technologies. Increasing liquidity of Poker770 and Chilipoker.com as well as market opportunities in the U.S. were cited as reasons for the change. PokerScout Traffic Update: Online poker traffic was down for a third straight week, losing a modest 0.7% with six out the top ten sites seeing declines. Everleaf is the biggest loser of the week down 6%. PokerScout notes that traffic is down only 22% since the network left the U.S. market. Two weeks ago, 888poker was added to the PAS network. Unfortunately, shortly after the poker room's launch on PAS, 888poker made a decision to suspend all new MGR offers for all affiliates (including non-PAS affiliates). Because of this recent development we have had to put the 888poker offer on hold for the time being. If you previously had made a revenue-share request through PAS for 888 it will need to be canceled. We are currently in discussions with 888poker about bringing a CPA deal to PAS. We will update PAS publishers promptly on any developments, which we hope is soon. In the meantime, you can continue to promote any number of our current revenue-share and CPA deals on PAS.
