On Wednesday, Eurobet players started to receive email messages that their player accounts would be closed on September 30th due to “recently enacted changes in European legislation.” According to EGR, the move is a strategic decision based on changes in recent legislation in Spain and Greece, two countries that apparently represent a prominent portion of Eurobet.com customers. The move comes just a week after another EU-licensed poker operator, Entraction, announced that they would be banning players from five countries including Canada, Russia, Norway, Israel and Russia.
PAS has made this a top priority and is currently trying to gather complete information about how this move will fully affect current affiliates and players of Eurobet. In a message that is currently posted on the Eurobet home page, Eurobet instructs players to download Coral Poker and that they can move existing points, tickets, bonuses and VIP level to the new account. Unfortunately, we have found out that players will not automatically be migrated to Coral or new affiliate accounts. Obviously, there are still some important questions to be answered and PAS will be sure to inform affiliates with more information as soon as we receive it.
One specific recommendation we can make for affiliates at this point is to start examining alternatives for your Eurobet players, such as BetSafe, an Ongame room that offers a sign-up bonus up to $2,500 and a lucrative VIP program, not to mention a $8,000 PAS exclusive Points Race.

In light of recently enacted changes in European legislation, Gala Coral have decided to stop trading using the Eurobet.com name and to close Sports Betting at 5pm on September 30th, 2011. Our other websites remain unaffected by this decision.
We wish to advise that after this time, you will no longer be able to transact with Sports Betting and all accounts will be closed.
If you have funds, please rest assured that your funds will remain safe and secure in your Eurobet account at all times. However we would ask you to please make arrangements to withdraw your funds in advance of this closure date. After this time and where we have a current payment method registered on your account, we will attempt to refund any outstanding balance accordingly.
If you require any assistance please contact Customer Services on 0044 (0)1483 765 893 or via email at customer-services@eurobet.com. Please note that all running antepost bets will be honoured and any winnings returned after the result has been processed.
On behalf of the entire Eurobet team we would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this decision may cause and we sincerely thank you for your previous custom.
