    by , 02-29-2012 at 11:09 PM
    We wanted to pass on a quick message that the Chili Poker and William Hill CPAs have been removed from PAS effective today. Any referrals from February or prior will be credited by the poker rooms at a time your referrals qualify. Your CPA referrals links have automatically been converted to revenue share, so no action is required if you wish to continue promoting the brands under revenue-share.

  2. Weekly Industry Update Feburary 26th: California and Mississippi Introduce Bills

    by , 02-26-2012 at 11:50 AM
    Two more states introduce online poker poker legislation while Everleaf releases a statement on their departure from the U.S. market. Check out these stories and more in this week's edition of the PAS Weekly Industry Update.

    California and Mississippi Introduce Bills: The last week saw two more states join the recent wave of states interested in online gambling. On Wednesday, a bill was introduced in Mississippi by House Minority Leader Bobby Moak. If passed, the legislation would take effect on July 1st. Meanwhile, in California two lawmakers introduced a bill on Friday dubbed the Internet Gambling Consumer Protection and Public-Private Partnership Act of 2012. The Calfornia bill faces obstacles from Governor Jerry Brown and tribal casinos. With over 37 million residents, a passage of a bill in the state
    would bring regulated poker to over 10% of the United States.

    Full Tilt Poker Update: Like last week, there were no major developments from Full Tilt Poker. See our update from two weeks ago for the last news on the ongoing situation. I'd also recommend checking out a good blog from Matt Glantz this week that details his opinion of where he sees things after discussions with Full Tilt Poker insiders. The theme: not good.

    Everleaf Releases Statement: Everleaf broke their silence on Friday with a statement explaining their departure from the US market and commitment to the non-US market. In a follow-up statement released on Friday, Everleaf also reiterated that player funds are segregated from operational are "ring-fenced."

    Shuffle Master Set to Purchase Ongame: Since June of 2011, bwin.party has been in discussions to sell their "surplus asset" after the two online gambling heavy heavyweights joined forced. According to the Sunday Times in England, a sale of the network to Shuffle Master is at an advanced stage. Shuffle Master is among more than a dozen operators who have applied for licenses in the state of Nevada.

    PokerScout Traffic Update: According to PokerScout online poker traffic decreased 3% over the week with 9 out of the top 10 sites seeing loses, the second decline in as many weeks. Merge Gaming and Boss Network are two sites mentioned by PokerScout as sites moving up the traffic rankings over the last week.

    PAS News: RedKings Revenue-share commissions have increased to 35% at PAS. Publishers who generate more than $5,000 in MGR will receive the new rate. Stay tuned for exclusive promotion news coming this week.

  3. Official Statement from Everleaf Gaming Released

    by , 02-24-2012 at 01:09 PM
    Two weeks ago Everleaf Gaming abruptly left the U.S. and French market after the network had approximately $27,000 in funds seized and subsequently was given a cease and desist order by the U.S. government. Since then, U.S. players have received no additional word on the status of their funds until today's statement (which can be seen below).

    For non-US players, Everleaf states that its "business as usual." Cashouts for non-US players are being paid, but players are reporting that cashouts are taking a few weeks in many cases. According to PokerScout the network traffic is only down 16% since the site banned U.S. and French players, a testament to their strong European player base.

    The full Everleaf statement:

    As has been reported, certain funds maintained by one of our payment processors to be distributed to U.S. customers were seized by U.S. authorities. To our knowledge, the U.S. authorities seized these funds and blocked the transactions based on purported violations of certain U.S. laws, including operating an illegal money transmitting business, the Wire Act, and money laundering. Evidence relative to the subject can be reviewed from the attached papers.

    Please be advised that this seizure occurred in the United States and only affects U.S. players.

    In view of the above Everleaf will no longer accept U.S. players. None the less Everleaf reiterates and wants to reassure all the effected players that all the funds will be refunded in full and the effected parties will be contacted in a short while accordingly.

    For the other markets we operate in and with regards to all our other players we want to reassure you that nothing has changed and thank you for the continued business with our Company.

    We sincerely apologize for the lack of communication to date, but as a Company we were still trying to find our feet and assessing the situation at hand and how to best protect the interest of all the effected parties.

  4. Facebook Connect Feature Launched On PAS

    by , 02-23-2012 at 11:29 PM
    PAS is pleased to announce that we have integrated a Facebook Connect feature into default PAS publisher sites. Over the last couple years, we've all seen a substantial increase in the use of Facebook Connect by third party sites as a way for a site's members to log in with their Facebook identity. With the addition of this feature to PAS, members of PAS publisher sites who have the feature enabled will be able to create accounts and log-in via their Facebook account.

    The biggest benefit of the feature is ease of use. Upon sign-up, a registering member will simply need to click the “Sign-Up Through Facebook” button to instantly have an account on your site – no need to register another account with separate details. When a member returns, they can click the “Login with Facebook” button to instantly be signed on to their account if they are already logged in to Facebook. As a PAS publisher, you have a bit of flexibility in being able to insert the tokens wherever you wish.

    Info and Instruction on the feature

    Default PAS publisher sites may already have noticed the feature automatically added to their homepage and sign-up form. If not, you can see the feature in action here on my very basic test site: http://gonzo.pokeraffiliatesolutions.com/

    Please note in an effort to have the feature on as many domains as possible, your members are greeted with a “Log-in to use your Facebook account with PAS” message by default. You may use your own app if you would like your site name replaced with "PAS". Follow steps 1-4 if you would like your members to be greeted with a custom message. If you are ok with the default message, you only need to follow steps 1 and 4. If you see the new Facebook Connect feature on your site and are pleased with the results, no action is required.

    Steps:

    1) Make sure connect.js is set up in your CMS (if you have a site created before February 7th, 2012 you would need to check this). Navigate to layout/layout.html and make sure the following code is in the header:

    Also make sure the the following code is in the body:

    2) Set up a Facebook Connect App from https://developers.facebook.com/. Click “Apps” and then APP. Make sure to fill out your app domain name (i.e. gonzotwo.pokeraffiliatesolutions) and site URL (i.e. http://gonzotwo.pokeraffiliatesolutions).

    3) Record your APP ID from this step and add it to your PAS Admin Page. From your PAS admin, insert that ID into the following location: Website Management>Website Summary>Edit Settings>Facebook App.

    4) Edit or Add the following tokens wherever you would like:

    {{ facebook_login_tag }}
    {{ facebook_register_tag }}

    Please let us know if you have any questions about this feature.
