How to Handle Offers Removed from PAS
Sometimes an offer previously available to PAS publishers becomes unvailable. In the meantime, you’ve done a lot of SEO work on that page, and don’t want to lose whatever pagerank it may have accrued. What do you do?
The best way to do this is probably to simply remove the references on the glance page and replace them with other text. Recently, Poker Nordica has become unavailable on the PAS network, so we will use them as an example.
In the CMS, go to promotions > poker-nordica-promos.html.
Although you could simply go through this page and simply remove all code and text references to Poker Nordica, you’ll end up with a page that adds nothing to your site, and probably looks funny too.
So you’ll want to replace it with another poker room offer. Since Nordica belongs to the Merge network, it makes sense to replace the Nordica offer with one on the same network.
The other two Merge rooms currently offered by PAS are Carbon and Players Only.
Simply go to rakeback > carbon-poker.html and copy the contents.
Return to the promotions > poker-nordica-promos.html page. Make sure you delete everything in it. Then paste the contents you copied from the Carbon page.
You won’t need to change the rakeback > poker-nordica.html page, since once the offer is disabled globally, it will no longer appear on your site.
At the top of the page, enter your preferred explanation/text. Although it contains rather bad styling, you can see the effect on the page below:
